External users can participate in Microsoft Teams meetings and class sessions even if they do not have a Microsoft Teams account. Guests can join using a web browser or the Microsoft Teams desktop or mobile app.

For the best experience, external guests should install the Microsoft Teams application before joining the meeting.

> ℹ️ **Important**: Guests who are not signed in with a recognized Microsoft or organizational account may be placed in the meeting lobby and require manual admission by the meeting organizer, co-organizer, or presenter.
